Just letting you all in the solo, duet, trio group know that (outside of our regular scheduled competition schedule) there will also be 2 other opportunities for those that want to take their routines to another competition:

  1. STARBOUND a very well known nice competition is coming to the Renaissance Center here in Dickson on Feb 23-24th 2013 !!! If interested I will provide more details and info on this and take entry forms on those interested
  2. Another one is a newer competition called “Precision Arts Challenge” and they come to Clarksville TN ( @ APSU Clement auditorium) April 26th-28th 2013, so I will also check this one out to see what it is like, so if any solo, duet trio dancers want to go to an additional one this may also be an option

Production Team Information for 2012-2013

PRACTICE times for this routine will begin on Mondays October 29th thru December 17th on Monday
from 5:30pm till 6:30pm (during the first hour of senior elite dance class) we will work very hard to try to get choreo all done in class time already scheduled, and then have extra practices as needed after the Christmas break ( to prepare for competition!)

This will try to get them competition ready…it is just a practice…and they get their score sheet..their score sheet is THEIR score sheet and should not be for any other dancers to compare….when we have the (mock awards) they will know by the order who placed first, second ,third etc….they have to get used to “friendly” competition…with so many several will fall in the same age category as others and we all have to support each other..typically with different judges it may fall a totally different way the next time..but we thought this would be a very helpful way to practice and get them ready for competition!

Production/Line Information for MACE DC 2012-2013

(The Junior elite & Petite Elite have combined and will be doing a Production-Line routine “Birthday” (type of celebration for Miss Amy’s 25th year!!) these dancers will be involved in this production, however if interested in auditions for this you are still eligible to audition (see below)

I will have another Large-group Line routine (a type of production, but will be entered in the Line-extended time category limited to the top 25 dancers.

This routine will be MANDATORY for the Senior Elite team…and I will hold AUDITIONS for the ANY of the dancers on Junior Elite, Teen Elite, Senior Dance teams on Friday September 28th 4pm-5:30pm!

The routine I have selected for this year will be a “contemporary-type dark piece” called “The Dance” it will require some technique and hard work, since it will be a very challenging type of routine.  The costume for this will be very very simple, all in black/white, and estimate the entire costume to be around $50.00 or less.
